Really excited for this years Bent // Broken Worldwide Circuit Bending Festival organized by the amazing Echo Lightwave Unspeakable. After being an online/virtual festival since inception, this year will debut the first in-person/live event to compliment the virtual festival.
Bent // Broken is really important event in the circuit bending community. It is an event that brings old and new friends together to see and hear interesting sound art, an event where one can see hear circuit benders from all over the world.
Festival will live stream on Twitch March 30, 2024 with the real life event happening on May 25, 2024 at The Green Beacon Gallery- Greensburg PA
To help support the folks who are traveling to perform live, there are t-shirts for sale. I got one, it’s pretty cool.
My piece will utilize a Barbie Karaoke Machine I modified around 15 years, some crusty drum machine toy, and even some underwater field recordings.
