Description
This thing went from boring and stale and loud and aggressive. Embellished with an image of Casio founder and instrument designer Tadao Kashio.
Modifications include, triple trouble feedback loop on the front with a knob to control the chaos. They range from subtle to loud. I ran the stock output into the control box via customized Radio Shack shack cable to keep with the Realistic theme. The knobs on the right hand side control the delay time and delay delay rate of the custom lo-fi delay circuit installed. The back of the control back houses the first 1/4″ out out that includes the delay circuit as well as a stutter button to get even crazier with your sound.
Above the control box input is a momentary switch that activates the GLITCH, this aspect of the instrument takes some finesse, time, and experimentation. While the glitches can be simple or fantastic, getting them to trigger can take more than a few tries, but it is well worth the trouble. Video shows the GLITCH button in action during early testing.
On the back of the instrument I have added a dry output as well that is not affected by the delay circuit but does benefit from the other circuit modifications. Making for an interesting stereo setup.
The switch on the back controls Normal or Half Speed instrument pitch, this needs to be set before you power up.
There are a couple of spots on the decal. Does not affect the sound.
