Field Recordings

For me, there is no better way to clear my head than getting out of the office and recording some sounds. From dunking my hydrophones in a nearby channel or off the local pier to sitting way too close to a beehive, active listening is one of my favorite pastimes. It may seem crazy, but after I get past the equipment setup, it is very relaxing.

Headphones recommended.

Ambiance Recordings

Birds, bees, insects, and the occasional random airplane that won’t leave me alone when I’m trying to record sounds.

Hydrophone Recordings

Croakers are croaking and shrimp are crackling. Also, tidal noises, creaking sounds, and other weird water play.

Industrial Recordings

From refineries and oil pumps to EMF signals and traffic, pretty much all things that are considered “outdoor noise”.
