While I normally don’t paint the things I modify, this one started out kinda rough on the outside so I went a different route with the grey on brass paint.
It Sounds Crazy! These are getting harder to find and more expensive even un-modified. Get it before it’s gone.

Previously Modified by POTAR
These little keyboards sure pack a punch. Out of the box, this toy synth has a pretty unique square wave sound, and with the modifications installed by POTAR, you can really blast off into outer space or at least like you are being contacted by space beings.
Jokes aside, I added a toggle switch for power as the power slider was a joke. Then I moved onto the internal microphone and created a feedback loop that you can turn on and off and adjust by dial. From there I removed the internal pitch resistor and replaced it with a larger value dial. For increased flexibility, I also added two touchpoints (or body contacts) to the pitch control. Next up was a couple of gain/distortion mods for the amplified IC.
The unit came supplied with a microphone input and a headphone out, both 1/8″ and runs on 4 x AA batteries or 4.5 – 6 volt center positive power supply.
This would be a great addition to a studio for making weirdo soundscapes, crazy pitch-bent bleeps, and other fuzzy madness.
