This is an upcycled kids Glockenspiel turned Sound Urchin; that’s right, I am getting all kinds of crazy over here.

Just like a regular Sound Urchin, the Urchinspiel also “picks up” the vibrations of items it is placed on or near. Experimentation is the cornerstone of an instrument like the Urchinspiel, I recommend running it through your pedalboard (think delay and modulation, or your synth (as a trigger or added organic texture). You are only limited by your imagination.

Included will be various DIY mallets for coaxing sounds from your new toy as well as a 9-volt battery dongle.1 of 1 – I really don’t see another one of these being made.
